If you feel that your chance for love has been done and passed along
Remember that there is more left that you have not yet loved
A new favorite book, waiting on a shelf, not yet opened
A new song, album, artist that has not yet emerged
A place you’ve yet to discover, where you’ll feel at home in a different yet clarifying way
Do you feel that you will never read another poem that might change your life?
These things that you have not yet loved, are creations made by man
These relationships that you are longing for, are with humans made by God
You will have more people in your lifetime that you will love
A love deeper than you can know
Remember, you are an evolving love
Remember, there is more left that you have not yet loved
Yes, heartache sings in octaves
And loneliness, too, is a part of the progression
The white noise hum in the too-still room
But, there can be joy in the waiting
If you’re brave enough to let your hope grow, and breathe
So hang in there
Love is worth the wait, always
You’ll see
You’ll see
